I am a Tech Art Lead at Ubisoft Toronto with extensive experience in the video game industry and a strong background in film and television VFX. Previously, I worked as a CG Generalist Supervisor specializing in Look Development, Lighting, Level Art, Texturing, Digital Matte Painting (DMP), and Environment TD roles across leading global VFX and animation studios.
My career spans contributions to Emmy-winning productions such as Gotham (as Environment Generalist) and two-time Emmy-nominated Westworld, as well as work on high-profile film projects including Dune: Part Two at DNEG. I have also collaborated with the United Nations in New York as an Illustrator and 2D Animator, contributing to UNFPA initiatives focused on children’s rights and women’s empowerment.
Academically, I hold a Master’s and Honors degree in Audiovisual Arts with an emphasis in Graphics from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (Bogotá, Colombia), and a Diploma in 3D Animation and Visual Effects from Vancouver Film School. In 2024, I completed a specialization through Harvard Business School Online in leadership, management, ethical business practices, design thinking, innovation, and the application of AI in modern corporate product and business strategy.
Throughout my career, I have developed a multidisciplinary skill set across both artistic and technical domains, including asset creation, shading, modeling (hard surface and organic), lighting, rigging, animation for hard surfaces, environments, projections, tracking, rotoscoping, compositing, motion graphics, and both 2D and 3D animation. I also have a strong foundation in traditional arts, including drawing, sculpture, digital illustration, and photography.
I am proficient in industry-standard tools such as Unreal Engine 5, Maya, Nuke, Houdini, Katana, Substance Painter/Designer, ZBrush, SpeedTree, Clarisse, and more, alongside design and editing tools including Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, Premiere, and InDesign. Rendering experience includes Arnold, V-Ray, Redshift, and RenderMan.
Beyond production work, I have experience as a mentor in advanced 2D/3D techniques, as a dance director and professional stage performer, and as a writer and UNFPA art consultant. I have also managed art exhibitions and collections, including my first exhibition at Casa Cuadrada Art Gallery in 2012, and worked as an Art Director and Illustrator in editorial and advertising contexts, contributing to brand identity and product development.
My practice is driven by a multidisciplinary approach that connects art, technology, storytelling, and human-centered design. I am particularly passionate about the intersection of creative production, education, and emerging technologies such as AI in interactive entertainment and media.
